Golden Flower Tai Chi School Curriculum
Master San Gee Tam has carefully developed the curriculum of the Golden Flower Tai Chi School over 30 years. The curriculum is founded on his broad-based training from numerous teachers, masters, and educational programs. The curriculum is purposefully designed to support the student’s complete personal development physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Tai Chi Ch’uan
The Tai Chi portion of the curriculum is based on Master San Gee Tam’s many years of training in the Yang Family Lineage of Master Chu King Hung. The major components of the Golden Flower Tai Chi curriculum are:
1. Golden Flower Simplified Form
2. Golden Flower Short Form
3. Golden Flower Long Form
4. Golden Flower Fast Form
5. Golden Flower Large Circle Form
6. Pushing Hands
After the student learns these forms, higher level advanced training is offered by invitation from Master San Gee Tam.
Standing Chi Gong
Standing Chi Gong is a practice designed for the development of internal energy and power. Its benefits include relaxation, release of deep internal tension and blockages, and healthy realignment of the musculoskeletal system. Chi Gong is perhaps the most important and powerful practice taught at Golden Flower School.
Ba Gua and Hsing-I
The arts of Ba Gua and Hsing-I are also offered weekly. Ba-Gua Superfitness is an intensive program based on internal energy principles and designed to enhance fitness and health. Hsing-I assists the student in developing internal strength and power.
Quiet Sitting and the Golden Flower Be Here Process Meditation
Meditation provides access to a quiet place within ourselves where we can reconnect with who we really are! Quiet sitting and meditation help calm the mind and emotions and enable us to gather back our energy to our core being.
